Payout accounts

A seller’s releases are paid to their payout account. The account can be in any name (theirs, their business’s, a family member’s), so the protection is who can add it: only that seller, by confirming a one-time code sent to their email or phone. The message names the bank and the last 4 digits, so the seller sees exactly what they are approving.
1

List banks

GET /banks returns every bank and microfinance bank a payout can go to.
2

Add the account

POST /payout_accounts with the bank code and account number, plus the seller’s customer token. KetaPay looks up the account name and sends the seller a code.
3

Confirm it

The seller enters the code; you send it.
Nobody else can add or change a seller’s payout account: not your platform or its staff, not anyone holding your secret key, not someone with the seller’s customer token alone, and not KetaPay staff. Accounts can’t be edited: a change means adding a new account and confirming it. Every change is logged and the seller is notified.

Payouts

Each release is paid to the seller’s active payout account automatically. If they have none yet, or the transfer fails, the money waits safely in their KetaPay balance and is sent as soon as they confirm one. Each milestone’s payout shows where its money is. In the sandbox, account 0000000000 (any bank) succeeds and 0000000001 fails.
