KetaPay’s fees

Every session and escrow carries a fees object with the exact figures, in kobo:

buyer_total = amount + buyer_fee + buyer_vat: what the buyer is charged.
seller_payout = amount - seller_fee - commission: what the seller receives once everything is released.

Show buyer_total to the buyer before they pay, and read the figures from fees rather than working them out yourself.

Your commission

Take your own cut of each deal with commission. It comes from the seller’s side of each release, never from the buyer.

Field	Meaning
`rate_bps`	Basis points: `1000` is 10%
`min_amount`	The least you take on the whole escrow, in kobo (default `0`)
`max_amount`	The most you take on the whole escrow, in kobo, or `null` for no cap

Leave commission out to use your account’s default; send null for none on this escrow.
It can’t exceed the maximum rate in your KetaPay agreement (commission_exceeds_contract).
It is never charged on money refunded to the buyer.
Each milestone’s release carries its share.

Refunds

When money goes back to the buyer, the refunded part carries no seller fee and no commission. KetaPay’s buyer fee and VAT are not refunded once the escrow is funded. See Refunds.
